With eclipse season almost behind us, we can finally look forward to new beginnings and the arrival of spring. I don’t know about you, but I’m already feeling the fire of the Horse and the momentum building for the year.
I asked what will support us throughout this month, and I pulled a card: the 10 of Swords. This card speaks to the end of a battle. It is time to pick up the pieces and move forward. Allow yourself to grieve what has ended, but do not stay there. Step into the present moment. The worst of something has passed, and now it is about integration and release.
Interestingly, the fast-moving Yin Metal Rabbit month is here. Yin Metal brings discipline and precision to the Rabbit, whose natural element is Yang Wood, the forest. The axe chops the wood, but the forest is far too vast for one axe to take down. This is a powerful metaphor for March. Make a task list, but do not make it too long. The Rabbit can become anxious when overwhelmed. Get things done, but be realistic about timing, especially with Mercury still retrograde until later in the month. Continue moving forward but check and double check your work. Small mistakes could cost you time.
March 3 brought the Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse in Virgo. Virgo, the sign of the healer, illuminated what needed attention within each of us. What did you release during this lunation? The energy has felt confusing and intense, but as the eclipse energy settles, clarity begins to return.
Mercury remains in Pisces, the sign of empathy, intuition, and daydreaming. Stay focused on your day-to-day responsibilities and in your communication. Pisces energy can drift. On March 20, Mercury goes direct and momentum returns. Jupiter also goes direct on March 11. The planet of expansion and abundance begins moving forward again, encouraging you to take advantage of the opportunities available while Jupiter remains exalted in Cancer until July.
From March 20 until May 6, when Pluto stations retrograde, all planets will be moving forward. This creates a rare window of collective momentum. We will see major world events move quickly and without pause. The Fire Horse energy will begin to reveal its full force. Use the support of the 10 of Swords to tie up loose ends and lay down the weapons that are no longer serving you. The Rabbit brings fresh, renewed energy to the collective, and we can all use that right now.
March 18 brings the New Moon in Pisces. Pisces governs empathy, imagination, and spiritual connection. What new step can you take on your spiritual path that aligns you more deeply with your purpose? Look at 28 degrees of Pisces in your chart. That is the house activated by this lunation. For me, it falls in my third house of self-expression, supporting me in saying what needs to be said. It is also an ideal time for me to set intentions around my social media and communication platforms.
