Phew! Aren’t you glad the eclipse season is over? I am! That was a doozy! Harvest season is settling in and I’m here for it! I love the leaves changing, hoodie weather, and the smell of autumn. There is a whimsical feeling that comes with Halloween too! When I was younger, I threw a Halloween costume party every year. I was looking at pictures and loving the memories! We will have some opportunities to create some good memories this month.

The Yang Fire Dog is in charge this month. I have a Yang Fire Dog in my day pillar. This is the pillar of health and marriage. So, I know a thing or two about this zodiac animal. Dogs are everything in the boy scout motto. Helpful, kind, loyal, playful and service oriented. They can also be very protective. On the shadow side they can take on others’ problems, be anxious, aggressive, and unpredictable. Yang Fire is like the sun. You feel the effects of it every day. It gives warmth and light, but you don’t want to look directly at it. It can be like a forest fire that burns out of control. Yang Fire can shine a light on things you are inspired by. Combining these two energies is kind of tricky. Since dogs spook easily, it’s important to remember to lighten things up this month. Get into the whimsical nature of October and be playful! Go to a Halloween party! Wear a costume and let the Dog energy be playful. There is a tendency for the Dog to go into shadow because of the scary things happening in the world. I can remember when I was a little boy in elementary school, I used to get nervous because all of the other kids would finish their tests before me. My Dad would tell me to focus on my own paper. Such good advice for this month. Focus on what you can do in your own life to be happy and then be of service to others where you can. Getting caught up in the troubles of the world as a whole will drag you down and then you can’t help anyone. The Yang Fire of this month will rage out of control whether we like it or not. If you start to feel like the fire gets too hot, go outside and connect to earth energy. Earth can dampen the fire a bit. So can water! Drink lots of water as well. There is no way to put out Yang Fire, but we can work with it. Stay positive, light and playful. Create new memories with those you love!

October 6th brings the Full Moon in Aries, and it will be a fiery one! Aries is the sign of action, aggression, war and anger. This Full Moon will help us to release anger that we have been holding onto. What really pisses you off? What is pissing you off right now? Write it down on paper and then burn it on the 6th! Let that shit go! This is a great moon to work with the fire element in ritual. Also, pay attention to which house this is lighting in your Natal Chart. Add the essence of the house energy to your ritual. This will help you lighten things up a bit! On the same day Mercury, the Planet of communication moves into the sign of Scorpio. Scorpio is a very polarizing sign. It is black or white mentality. So, be very careful with the words you use this month. Your words can land you in hot water! Scorpio is also the sign of the psychic, which can help you be more intuitive about what you say, before you say it.

The New Moon in Libra brings a brand-new start on the 20th. This New Moon brings a bit of tension even though Libra is the sign of peace and balance. On one hand, you get to have a fresh start and bring balance to your life. On the other hand, you might have trouble figuring out what you want to start and how you want to take action. There is also a Yod which refers to the finger of God pointing to this New Moon. A Yod points to a huge turning point that can set you on a new path. Pay attention to what shows up in your life. What house does Libra rule in your Natal Chart? This is where you can start fresh and get on a new path.

If you want to know more about how this energy will be affecting you, I would love to connect with you. Let’s explore your possibilities together!
