What is showing up for you so far in the Year of the Yang Fire Horse?
The Horse is off and running, lighting fires wherever she goes, can you feel the heat? I sure can! And it’s about to get even hotter. With six of the ten planets soon to be in Aries, we will be deep in fire energy. But there may be a little relief on the way, because the animal of the month is the Yang Water Dragon, and water, as we know, has something to say about fire.
The Yang Water Dragon flies into view, bringing spring with it.
Yang Water is the element of big emotions and turbulent ocean waters. This month, take special care of your feelings. Don’t sweep them under the rug, face them head on, feel everything, and do it with support. You don’t have to navigate this alone.
Now, water controls fire and can put it out, but the combination is volatile. Fire crackles and sizzles when water hits it. So be thoughtful about how you put out the fires in your own life this month, because the approach matters as much as the intention. The Dragon is the archetype of polarity and extremes, so things may feel all or nothing. When they do, lean into the Dragon’s other gift: vision. The Dragon sees the big picture. Look up and take in the whole landscape before you have big conversations or react in moments of confrontation.
April 1st, Full Moon in Libra
The month opened with a Full Moon in Libra, bringing relationships, balance, and justice to the forefront. Full Moons are about release, and I heard from so many of you about pivotal conversations, turning points, and moments of clarity in your relationships. What did you let go of over these last few days?
April 17th, New Moon in Aries
The New Moon in Aries arrives mid-month with Mars, the ruler of Aries and the planet of war and conflict, conjunct Mercury, the planet of communication. This pairing brings an edge of impatience and a tendency toward impulsive words and decisions. This is a week that could mark a real turning point, both personally and collectively. Keep a level head. Don’t jump to conclusions or assume the worst.
Instead, look at where Aries falls in your chart. That house is where fresh energy wants to pour in, and New Moons are all about new beginnings. This is an excellent time to decide what you want to start.
Things are heating up, and it’s not over yet.
If you’re feeling the intensity of this fire energy and want help navigating it, I’d love to support you. Don’t hesitate to reach out and book a reading. 2026 is moving fast, so let’s make sure you’re moving with it.
